June CFSS Newsletter

The June race for the Checkered Flag Sprints is Saturday night, June 7th at Charlotte County Motorsports Park. Racing starts at 6:00 p.m.

Car counts are continuing to grow – with a total of 16 cars taking the green flag on May 17th. Thanks again to Jim Banta for the extra $$$$ to guarantee $250.00 to each car that starts the feature. The Hard Charger award, sponsored by Real Racin USA, went to the Floyd McDole /Slawiak #79.

No one won the Barfield Clean Sweep award, making the June 7th race worth $400.00 to any member that wins the heat and feature events.

In response to questions regarding the Contingency Awards here are a few details:
1. You must be a registered member to be eligible.
2. The mandatory decals that everyone MUST have on their cars are:
Barfield J. B. Banta Enterprises
Hoosier Real Racin' USA
All other decals are optional but must be displayed to be eligible.
3. Certificates are distributed each night (drawings are held after the heat races).

Jemma still needs personal information on some of our newest members. This information is given to the announcers to use during the races. You can pick up a form at the CFSS table.

Expect big news about the CFSS special event on Friday, July 4th at Charlotte County Motorsports Park. Extra laps and more money!! Watch for more details soon.

July 2008 Newsletter

The 4th of July race went off with a ‘big bang’ thanks in part to fire works provided by the McDole/Slawiak team. Our biggest car count of the year was on hand to entertain the crowd.

The 35 lap feature, sponsored by J. B. Banta Enterprises, was a hard fought battle for positions one through eighteen, putting on a great show for the fans.

Keith Butler was the winner and recipient of the $500.00 Barfield Clean Sweep award for winning the heat and feature events. David Slawiak ...
