Back In Action This Weekend
|
The Checkered Flag Sprints will be back in action this Saturday, October 17th, at Charlotte County Motorsports Park after being off for too long! The season is drawing to a close and the points are getting closer. In owner/driver points, Keith Butler and Mark Gimmler are separated by only one point! In the rookie of the year points, Amanda Ferguson and Dustin Henderson are separated by only, you guessed it, one point.
The Checkered Flag Sprint program consists of 8 lap heat races and a 30 lap feature event. Action should be hot and heavy when you add in drivers like Gary Gimmler, Scott Adema, Jason Bradford, Brian Maddox, Ric Voisey and Geoff Styner to name a few.
Racing starts at 7:00 pm.

The 4th of July race went off with a ‘big bang’ thanks in part to fire works provided by the McDole/Slawiak team. Our biggest car count of the year was on hand to entertain the crowd.
The 35 lap feature, sponsored by J. B. Banta Enterprises, was a hard fought battle for positions one through eighteen, putting on a great show for the fans.
Keith Butler was the winner and recipient of the $500.00 Barfield Clean Sweep award for winning the heat and feature events. David Slawiak ...
