Checkered Flag Sprint Series Update

The 2009 season for the Checkered Flag Sprint Series will come to an end Saturday night, December 5, at Charlotte County Motorsports Park.
Several close points races are still to be determined. In owner points, first and second place, as well as third and forth place, are each separated by only 10 points! In driver points, first and second, as well as forth and fifth, all each separated by only 10 points! The top Rookie of the Year candidates are separated by only 31 points.
Keith Butler, Mark Gimmler and Gary Gimmler have been battling all season for driver point champion. The Rookie of the year race between Amanda Ferguson and Dustin Henderson is still up for grabs.
Some of the other drivers expected to help close the season are Scott Adema, Brian Maddox, Ric Voisey, Geoff Styner, David Slawiak, Frankie Hurst, Robby Hackett, Steven Bradley, Channing Conley, Michael Thrap, Jimmy Alvis Jr., A.J Maddox, Skeeter Faulconer and Jimmy Dwyer.

The 4th of July race went off with a ‘big bang’ thanks in part to fire works provided by the McDole/Slawiak team. Our biggest car count of the year was on hand to entertain the crowd.
The 35 lap feature, sponsored by J. B. Banta Enterprises, was a hard fought battle for positions one through eighteen, putting on a great show for the fans.
